‘Introduction to Expressionist Acrylics’

Day Time Class- 3 weeks
Beginners level
Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12pm
10^th – 24^th August
$80 per person (own art supplies are required- list given upon enrolment)

Often thought about trying your hand at acrylic painting- but aren’t quite sure if it’s for you? Well we have the perfect course for you in term 3. Experienced Tauranga artist and tutor Talulah Belle will take you through the fundamentals of learning acrylic painting onto stretched canvas using an expressionist style. This means that you will focus on a style that depicts loose, free brush strokes with an array of exciting paint colours! Once you have finished this introduction course you will have the confidence to move onto the intermediate eight week class in term 4.
 

‘Elements of Abstraction’

Thursday evenings from 6.30pm – 8.30pm
5^th August – 19^th August
$100 per person (own art supplies are required- list given upon enrolment)

This is a great course for those of you eager to get amongst some paint, learn some new techniques and create a work that steers itself towards abstraction.
Abstract is a style of painting often undervalued for the skill and expertise required to master this type of art. Knowledge of materials, paint application and composition techniques is important fundamentals in starting your journey towards abstract painting. And if you aren't quite sure how or even where to start creatcing an abstract artwork, or you are simply not confident in your abilities, then this is a great class for you to gain a taste of abstract techniques and styles. 
 

ArtBuzz is able to combine the many talents of our tutors and the use of our facilities and resources to offer a wide range of colourful, exciting and quality courses and skills training.  Our aim is to provide quality educational art courses that are responsive to changing needs– this is where we have come to recognise the need for shorter art courses than our normal courses which are two hours a week for eight weeks. A shorter course would enable people who are pressed for time, cant afford the more expensive courses or who aren't quite sure if the style of course is what they want to do to still be able to attend one our ArtBuzz art courses.
