About Harrisons Gallery
 
Harrisons Gallery, established in 1961 is the Bay of Plenty’s leading Fine Art Gallery and Art School.  Offering Tauranga's largest range of professional artist supplies and specialist art services; including conservation grade framing, specialist art advice and consultations, commissioned artworks, art valuations and restorations. The gallery’s large studio runs adult, children’s and corporate art programmes/workshops.

Harrisons Team 
Gaye Carrothers is Harrisons Managing Director - Gaye has been with the gallery for four years.

Carmen Dickison is Head of Marketing and Programming for Harrisons. She has an extensive corporate marketing and communication background.

Adult Art Classes & Workshops
 
The gallery offers a range of fabulous high quality art classes taught by carefully selected practising artists. Classes are held in a relaxed environment and cater for all abilities from beginners to the more advanced students. Teaching with most mediums including oil, acrylics, pastels, charcoals and pencil.  Our art tutors include well-known artists such as; Tim Wilson and James Lawrence.  Local tutors include Finela Moore, Talulah Belle, Sharon Watson, Hayley Brown, Stuart Sims and Lisa Christiansen.  Harrisons also offers private one-to-one or smaller group art tutoring. Term classes and weekend workshop numbers are small (usually between 5-8 students) to allow plenty of individual attention and feedback. 
 
Corporate Teambuilding (Art Workshops)
 
The art studio and gallery can be used for corporate art workshops, functions, social events and team building art-activities, such as team self portraits and collaborative team or themed artworks.  Art workshops and functions are personalised to suit the individual needs of your business or group (half or full day experiences).
 
Art Buzz Kids Studio (Children’s Art Classes)
 
Harrisons employs practicing artists to teach in our children’s classes. Offering term and holiday programs, our classes are structured and skills-based, using a variety of mediums.
 
Usually between 5-8 children per class, tutors provide individual support and feedback to their students while working in a safe, supervised and most importantly fun environment.  Holiday programmes are frequently run during school holidays.
 
Framing
 
Harrisons employs master framer Marie Rhodes.  She is qualified with the Fine Art Trade Guild.  Harrisons specialises in custom framing to conservation and museum grade standards and has gained a reputation for quality and excellence within the field.  Frequently requested to complete more complex or unusual framing jobs.
 
Specialist Art Services
 
Harrisons team of experts offer a full range of art services including specialist art advice and in-home/corporate consultations.  With an enviable reputation for quality restoration of artworks and textiles. The gallery works closely with independent valuation experts and offers artwork valuations for insurance or re-sale.
 
Art Supplies
 
Harrisons stocks the largest range of quality art supplies in Tauranga.  The expansive range includes Golden acrylics, Atelier, Matisse, Art Spectrum, Winsor & Newton, Cotman, Museum, Das, Francheville, Rembrandt, Faber Castel Pitt, Conteau, Albredt Duer and Canson brands.  Paints, mediums, inks, canvasses, pastels, brushes, pens, pencils, paper and pads. xxx
